Hi Tracy and Roland,
Thanks again for sharing everything so clearly, it’s been really helpful to understand where you’re coming from and where you’d like to take the Viney Hill website. Based on your needs and everything we discussed, I’ve put together a proposal for a full redesign and rebuild of the site, using your existing media and content structure as the foundation.
If anything feels off or you’d like to explore alternate options, I’m more than happy to adjust things.
Viney Hill’s current website no longer reflects the energy, warmth, and quality of the experience you offer. The structure is a little clunky, and it’s clear the theme and plug-ins have become difficult to manage over time. There are also some missed opportunities, from content that doesn’t show the full breadth of your activities to technical issues that are starting to limit your ability to update the site and collect enquiries reliably.
To address this, a full rebuild is the most reliable and future-proof way forward. By moving away from an outdated WordPress theme and into a more modern, secure setup using Webflow, we’ll create a site that’s not only easier to manage but gives visitors a real sense of who you are, what you offer, and why Viney Hill is such a special place.
- Build a vibrant, welcoming, and informative site that reflects your values, location, and range of activities
- Simplify navigation and structure to help visitors quickly find what they need
- Showcase your offering with richer visual content and clear, action-led pages
- Replace outdated plugins and difficult-to-manage tools with a more intuitive, secure platform
- Ensure the site is accessible, mobile-friendly, and easy for staff to update in future
- Improve enquiry form reliability and SEO performance so more people find and book with you
The project will begin the week commencing 15th July and run through to early September. This 8-week timeline allows for thorough design, development, feedback, and testing, making sure everything is in place for the new academic year.
Here’s a rough breakdown:
Week 1 to 2: Discovery & Planning
- Review all provided content and finalise sitemap
- Create wireframes and define page templates
- Identify accessibility and SEO opportunities
Week 3 to 4: Design Phase
- Design all required pages, including homepage, standard pages, and content-rich internal pages
- Apply colour scheme, typography, and visual tone
- Feedback rounds to refine layout and hierarchy
Week 5 to 7: Development Phase
- Build fully responsive site in Webflow for better long-term control
- Set up CMS for Activities, Accommodation, Group Offers, etc.
- Implement forms, links, downloads, videos, and accessibility features
Week 8: Testing & Final Polish
- Mobile and browser testing
- Set up redirects, analytics, and performance checks
- Launch support and training session for your team
The new website will include:
- A clean, modern design aligned with your colours and identity
- Fully responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop
- Simple top-level navigation with improved structure and scrolling page sections
- Embedded video and drone footage on key pages
- CMS setup for Activities, Accommodation, and other regularly updated sections
- A custom enquiry form with CAPTCHA, email backups, and improved reliability
- Accessible design and layout in line with WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines
- Links to external accreditations, partner sites, and donation platforms
- Training video walkthrough so your team can make future updates
- Hosting and domain support if needed
- Security improvements including SSL, an updated platform, and a simplified backend
The total cost for the full redesign and rebuild is £5,250. This is a fixed project rate for the full scope of work.
This includes: discovery, design, development, CMS setup, testing, launch support, and team training.
It does not include: third-party software, for example video hosting tools or donation platform fees, although these are usually minimal or free.
Payment Terms:
- 50% deposit to book the work
- 50% balance on completion, just before launch
Availability:
I’m available to start the week commencing 15th July, with the full 8-week project running through to early September.
Let me know if you’re happy with the proposal and I’ll send over a formal quote and project agreement to get everything booked in.
Looking forward to working together, I think the new site will be a huge step forward.
Best,
Matt
